Director-at-large

Length of time part of the board: 2+ years
Location: Dundurn

TKD Experience: I began my journey in TaeKwonDo in December of 1984 at Kee’s Tae Kwon Do School in Saskatoon, SK under the instruction of GrandMaster Kee S. Ha and Master Wayne Mitchell. Eventually, I began helping to assist in instructing students at Kee’s Saskatoon becoming the instructor for the branch club in Dalmeny, SK and then teaching TaeKwonDo for 8 years at the University of Saskatchewan. Currently I have been teaching at the Detachment Dundurn TaeKwonDo club but, sadly, due to covid restrictions, classes have not been held since the gym on the military base has been closed to non-military personnel.

What's the best part about being involved with TKD: TaeKwonDo, as a martial art, has too many benefits to briefly mention but it can be acknowledged the physical, social, mental and self-defence benefits help develop life-skills like self-discipline, confidence, focus, inner-strength and an undefeatable spirit; to list only a few.
