INTEGRITY COUNTS FILING LINK

Safe Sport is everyone's responsibility, and together, we can all make sport safe for everyone.   Creating a culture where everyone can thrive is a shared responsibility which is why the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) created the Safe Sport Training Module which is designed to help anyone involved in sport identify and prevent situations of maltreatment.   The Safe Sport Training Module equips coaches, administrators and others to make decisions that promote athlete's physical and mental wellbeing and empowers sporting groups to embrace a a safe atmosphere that contributes to athlete success.

The SMAA encourages all those involve to take 90 minutes to complete the Safe Sport training.  It is a free program that is accessible through the Locker.  All individuals needs to access the training is a NCCP number.  If an individual does not have an NCCP number, they can get one for free when they sign up to the Locker.   At the start of the module it was ask what role you play in sport and then will provide you the module for your role (Coach, Athlete, Administrator, Official etc).
